Way

Hey, people. I've been quite busy this year. School. Clubs. Homework. Tests. Studying. Chinese New Year. Shopping. Family. Friends. Socializing. Yeah, basically I've been doing all these. Everything seems fine though.

If you're my friends, you've probably been told that I wanted to be an obstetrician. An obstetrician is a kind of doctor who takes care of pregnant women until they give birth to the children. I was very excited and looking forward to have a doctor's life. Seriously, I wanted to get a 'Dr' in front of my name. It's cool, isn't it? Yea, I love talking to people, that's why I planned to study medicine in the future. I want to interact with people around me so that I can try my very best to help them. Well, at that stage, I felt like a small sand, wanting to be a big rock. It seemed so impossible for me to achieve what everybody thought that was hard. It's true, honestly. I couldn't do it, could I? I don't think so at this moment. Although I have wanted to be volunteer in South Africa since last year, I kept telling myself that with God I can do anything, I even had a mind of sacrificing myself to the poorer world, to bless them, I still feel that God doesn't actually give me the potential of being a doctor. I mean, I'm not really good at Biology like how my friends are and I'm not a top student though I'm like top 20 in my form. I found myself better in mathematics and physics, so I decided to do something else.

After that, I think of being a pilot. Yes, it's, a pilot who flies the airplane. I did research on it and it seems to be quite suitable for me. My standard and level may be okay to be a pilot. However, one shouldn't forget their interest and passion. I know it, so I think I can get a license for helicopter and go to South Africa to help the unfortunate. Before that, I suppose, I'd go to the UniSA to get a Bachelor of Aviation and do some training. It might be great for my life, you know? Everything might be different and trilling. I may be enjoying my life to the fullest. Oh, man, I forget about my God? No, I should be serving in His home as well. Like continue reading the bible and offering myself to visit the hospitals, maybe. Pilot, huh? It sounds really cool. Flying here and there. I'm a brave person, I think, I'm willing to try so many things, aren't I? So, I told my dad about it and he gave me a very disappointed answer. He doesn't think that being a pilot suits me well. I'm such an anxious type of creature, huh? I'll mess up everything and people will probably die because of me, things may not be as easy as I think. Yeah, it's right.

Having so many ambitions and dreams seems so fun to everyone at my age. Everybody is talking about it and I'm so ambitious. Encouragement from parents is definitely important to me. Dad, could you please not to suggest me to be a mechanical engineer? May I choose something that I like? May I have my life that I think I'd have? Or you're right that I'm not suitable for jobs that require such a big responsibility? I still have a year to think about it. I believe God'll give me the best answer after all. Let me be hardworking and aim a beautiful results for my SPM. Oh yea, pray for me, kay?

A draft

"Kate, wake up! We're going to the city at eleven am. Quickly brush your teeth and dress yourself up now. We have no much time, it's already ten o'clock," my mum cried loudly as she was passing by my room. I hated it, she often did this to me like in every cool and peaceful Saturday morning when I was still having my beautiful nightmare. The lazy bugs in my body were trying to make me lay on my bed longer and not to let anyone disturb me. Anyhow, I would always try to obey her since she really needed someone to accompany her every weekend. She was too lonely to be alone as my dad had gone away two years ago because of his selfishness and cruelty. Therefore, mum only had me and I had to be with her. Well, I had already used to it, though.

After putting on my favourite blue long-sleeved dress, I had my breakfast with my mum and we headed to the city which was about half an hour time to reach there. En route to the city, mum told me that we would be going to the bank for banking in some money and would do some groceries shopping before coming home. It was such a boring plan in this warm and friendly summer day. So, I asked my mum for letting me have an hour spent in Dymock bookshop. Indeed, she allowed me to have my plan on. I felt so excited as I had always wanted to get a couple books which Emily highly recommended them. Not long after, my mum parked her car outside the bank and we entered it.

In the bank, I could see there were so many people. Some of them were holding their bank books, sitting on the chairs provided while waiting patiently for their turn. There were also a couple filling in a form whereas some people were at the counters banking in money. Mum and I sat down after we had taken the number. There were a really adorable eight-year-old boy sitting next to me reading a comic book, he stared at me just as I sat down and gave me a sweet smile. What a nice child he was, I thought.

As I was too bored, I looked around. It was a really busy bank, people went in and out like it didn't rest. At the moment, they were two masked gunmen whose heads were tucked with stockings entered the bank. I was not actually shocked but all my blood nearly froze. I was so scared and afraid, they were holding guns, yes, guns. Everyone seemed to be so frightened as we all raised our hands up, just like what I always watched in the TV, none of us dared to make a soft sound. One of the masked men shouted at the counter assistant and pointed the gun at her as if he wanted her to put money into a big bag that he had brought.

The counter assistant listened to what he said and stuffed the money into the bag. The masked man asked the other masked man to do the same thing as he did. That masked man hesitated while he was told to do so. I could see his hands shaking and his body was too rigid to do anything. He was afraid of something, I felt. Another masked man turned back and shouted at the counter assistant so that she would speed up and have the bag fulled with money. He also scolded the masked man who was like a statue holding his gun and... no, he was staring at my mum. Why was he doing that? Was he going to kill my mum?

Then, the man fired the gun and decided to shoot at my mum. Oh no, this should not happen to my mum. I didn't want to know what was going to happen next, my mum would be gone. Suddenly, he turned and pointed his gun at the other masked man who was a little annoyed by the counter assistant's slow moment. He aimed him and opened the gun and... he shot him. The whole world seemed to stop at that particular moment and everyone was so shocked that this happened in front of them. What a dramatic scene it was right now.

The boy who was sitting next to me held my hands tightly and closed his eyes when he saw the man being shot. I hugged him too as I was so afraid. We both embraced each other when I heard mum crying. I had no idea why she cried, it was ridiculous for a women crying in this situation. Just as I turned to look at my mum, I saw a man who looked exactly like my dad holding a gun and having tears out of both his brown eyes. He was my dad who robbed the bank with a bad man. I seriously could not believe that, I was too lost to think of what had happened in the bank. I hated my dad, I didn't want to see him. Then, I closed my eyes and held the boy's hands again and prayed for my dad.

Everyone was waiting for the police to come. The bank which was usually busy was now calm. Mum and dad were grief-stricken, they stared at each other until the police came. Dad was caught by the police and all of us who witnessed the whole scene were asked by the police. Mum looked so pale and sorrowful, I saw so much disappointment in her eyes and so much grief in her heart. Well, I felt so bad and uneasy too, things went too fast and complicated.

Dad was sentenced to be in the prison for 5 years and neither mum nor I was going to visit him. Mum didn't even say a single word about my dad after the incident happened. Maybe she was too sad to talk about him whom she loved. I didn't say anything about him, either. However, I still prayed for him every time I wore my favourite blue long-sleeved dress which I wore that day and was given by my dearest dad.

Influence

Heyo, how's your day? Let me tell you how I feel right now, I'm happy, glad, sufficed and grateful. I just went to school this morning to do some gardening job. I love it, honestly, especially clearing the weeds. Froggie garden was totally full of weeds and grass, and mosquitoes too. They weren't cool at all.

I reached school at 8a.m., it was really quite because of holiday. I walked to the garden and I saw my club's vice president. He was even earlier than me, I salute. Okay, then we started doing the work. The situation of the garden was seriously bad, like no one cared of it. As I was doing my work, mosquitoes came and had my blood for their breakfast. Yea, I donated my blood for them, then I had a thought of having a program of killing the mosquitoes. I wish it could be a success for next year. #ihatemosquitoes

My other teammates came and did their part after we had cleared a plot. At that moment, I was facing people that I had hated before, but I told God and promised that I would never hate or dislike them anymore. In fact, I have to try my very best to love them. Yay, I did it! I didn't get angry with anyone and I could control myself all the time. I feel extremely thankful for that, God listened to my prayer, he was there with me!

Next year will be a not-as-busy-as-this-year year. Well, I'll be the president of Nature Club, I'm an amateur who's not experienced. I hope the vice president will help me and indeed my God 'll help me throughout the year. I know I'm a Christian who has to influence people. Yea, influence! I've got too many things to learn, too much to think as well. That's called life, no matter how bad is it, God definitely gets me out of the danger. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!

I love nature, trees, flowers, water, animals and a lot more. I can say that I do enjoy what I'm currently doing, I'm glad to have chances to face so many problems and solve them with faith. That's amazing. I just feel that God's there whenever I do anything, as in He actually protects his daughter, me! How grateful to have such a great Father who's always there with me. #iamnotlonely

I felt insecure all the time before I have totally believed in God, and that made me a person who couldn't influence people or have a real testimony. I'm found, I'm no more lost as I don't feel insecure anymore. I know that God's actually doing his part. While I'm patiently waiting, I still need to be hardworking and to obey Him. Honestly and seriously, everything goes exactly perfect and amazing. God is really wonderful that he does all these and I feel as if I have strength to do stuff. #wordscannotexpresshowmuchgodlovesme

I'm now pretty excited about tomorrow's dating with my friend and Elisa. We're going to watch the Catching Fire, so cool. I love watching movies, films, soap operas, dramas and all kinds of entertainment. Then, I may be watching the Frozen next Wednesday. Well, I admit I love to be entertained, that's not something really good, actually. Okay, that's not a big deal, anyway.

Oh yea, I tried to help someone last night. Sins separate humans and God, that's why even though I thought I might be annoying, still I told my friend about this. If I didn't, I suppose I'd feel sad b'cause I didn't do what God wanted me to do. Glory to the God, I did it and I pray that my friend'll get out of the dark valley.

I still wanna tell you something but I have nothing to tell. I'll write post when I feel like sharing something meaningful or my life. I'm a tree that grows and will bear fruits next year, that's one of my task for next year. See you till the next post.

With love,
Emily
